Project: Providence Hospital Redevelopment

Kimley-Horn of DC is providing civil engineering and traffic services for a 33-acre master plan for the redevelopment of the old Providence Hospital into mixed-use campus consisting of single-family and multifamily housing. The team is conducting a utility, stormwater management, and traffic and access analyses. The team is working with HOK architects to develop a master plan for the campus that will consist of townhomes, multifamily buildings with ground floor retail, medical office buildings, and internal street network. The project consisted of due diligence associated with the demolition of several of the existing buildings on the campus while maintaining six of the existing buildings in operation.

Services:

Due diligence study to understand how the buildings designated as “remaining facilities” would be maintained operational at all times and served by public utilities (i.e., water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, electric and gas) during and after demolition.
